ID VERIFICATION

1. Buyer is then recommended to undertake an online vehicle history check, which can be done through our preferred partner link. If there are any problems with the vehicle history, the Buyer can make further investigations with the Seller or with our preferred partner. If the Buyer is not happy with the vehicle history checks after making further investigations, it is up to the Buyer to continue or terminate the transaction. No payment is made to Car Conveyancer at this stage, but the Buyer would have lost the fee for the vehicle history check. On the basis that the Buyer is happy to proceed the next steps will be followed.

2. The person who is to pay our fees is recommended to fill in the Online Forms by going onto the "Register" tab at the top of our web site. Once Car Conveyancer has received the online forms duly completed by Buyer and Seller, both parties will be informed by Car Conveyancer by email. The party who has elected to pay for Car Conveyancer’s fees will then be asked to go back onto Car Conveyancer’s web site to pay for our fees by debit or credit card. Just follow the online instructions where payment will be made through the secure screens offered by Paypal.

3. Once paid both Buyer and Seller will be notified and the paying party will receive a receipt for payment.

4. Car Conveyancer will then undertake online Identity Verification, Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud Validation searches. If Buyer and Seller require the use of our recommended options for greater security, then this will also be undertaken if payment has been made. For additional services please see our Costs tab on the web site.

5. If all searches are passed (online and/or documentation) then both Parties will be notified by email and Stage 3 will commence.

6. If there is something wrong with the searches, for instance the Buyer or Seller is not on the electoral roll or their landline telephone number does not match up with the information provided etc the “defaulting” party will be notified and asked to provide an explanation. The defaulting party will also be asked for his consent to disclose the reason for the default to the other party so that the other party can evaluate the risk for himself. If the defaulting party refuses to lend his consent to disclose the reason for the default the other party will be notified of his refusal and the other party may decide to withdraw from the transaction or continue as the case may be. If the transaction is discontinued the fees paid to date will be lost as there is no refund payable.
